In my first term, I have focused on maintaining the financial strength of the City, keeping a balanced approach to development, enhancing our parks and public spaces and supporting policies that help our businesses thrive. I look to continue these priorities in my second term
Being disciplined stewards of the City’s resources allows us to keep the high quality of infrastructure and services that taxpayers, businesses, and visitors deserve while holding the line on increases to property taxes.
Taking a balanced approach allows us to preserve the character of our neighborhoods and maintain the small-town charm of Wayzata, while allowing change that enhances the vitality of the City.
Delivering on the community’s vision in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, we need to provide and maintain parks and public spaces that are charming, connected, and user friendly for multiple generations. The Panoway/Lake Street project is a great example of executing this vision.
Fostering an environment that attracts residents and visitors to support our local businesses is key to a thriving community.
Wayzata is a special place to call home. It has changed a lot since I first moved to the area 35 years ago. Despite the changes, it has maintained the small-town charm that makes it so great, while evolving in ways that have enhanced the vitality of our community.
I met my wife, Cindy, at Wayzata High School 30 years ago. We have two daughters, Sophie and Abbey.
I graduated from Wayzata High School and then received a degree in economics at St. Olaf College.
I am a Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bridgewater Bank, where I build relationships and serve businesses, real estate investors and entrepreneurs.
I currently serve on the Wayzata City Council, Interfaith Outreach Finance Committee and am the Treasurer of the Lake Effect Conservancy Board. I previously served as Board Chair of the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.
I'd love to hear from you, get your feedback on Wayzata and answer any questions
